F\u00f6rs\u00f6k besvara de h\u00e4r fr\u00e5gorna sj\u00e4lv. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>N\u00e4r man talar om biodiversitet avser man oftast antalet arter, men biodiversiteten har tv\u00e5 niv\u00e5er till: den genetiska diversiteten inom arterna och diversiteten av olika livsmilj\u00f6er.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Hur l\u00e4nge m\u00e5ste vi leta f\u00f6r att hitta alla arter?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">Titta p\u00e5 bild 1 i artikeln av <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosbiology\/article\/figure\/image?size=large&amp;id=10.1371\/journal.pbio.1001127.g001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mora et al.<\/a> d\u00e4r x-axeln st\u00e5r f\u00f6r tiden och y-axeln f\u00f6r antalet k\u00e4nda arter vid varje tid. Kurvorna b\u00f6js efter hand, p\u00e5 grund av att man hittar allt f\u00e4rre nya arter i de grupper som redan b\u00f6rjar vara r\u00e4tt v\u00e4l k\u00e4nda. Diversiteten inom en art<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ocks\u00e5 om vi oftast talar om artantal, \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 den genetiska diversiteten inom varje art mycket viktig.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">G\u00e5 till en mataff\u00e4r och ta bilder av olika tomater eller chilifrukter. Ni kan ocks\u00e5 g\u00e5 ut i en park och fotografera hundraser eller duvor av olika f\u00e4rg. G\u00f6r collage av era bilder. G\u00e5 ocks\u00e5 ut i naturen och fotografera den genetiska diversiteten d\u00e4r. Sammanst\u00e4ll i ett eget collage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I naturen \u00e4r den genetiska diversiteten sv\u00e5rare att uppt\u00e4cka, men om ni t.ex. m\u00e4ter l\u00e4ngderna p\u00e5 olika exemplar av samma v\u00e4xt ser ni att den nog finns. P\u00e5 v\u00e5ren kan ni j\u00e4mf\u00f6ra n\u00e4r knopparna spricker ut p\u00e5 olika tr\u00e4d av samma art, p\u00e5 h\u00f6sten n\u00e4r l\u00f6ven gulnar. Sniglar av samma art har ofta olika m\u00f6nster p\u00e5 skalet och vitkindade g\u00e4ss har mer eller mindre vitt p\u00e5 kinderna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">J\u00e4mf\u00f6r till sist den genetiska diversiteten hos arter som m\u00e4nniskan f\u00f6r\u00e4dlat med den genetiska diversiteten i naturen. Alla arter p\u00e5 alla platser kan inte r\u00e4knas direkt, och tidigare f\u00f6rs\u00f6k till uppskattning har inneburit antaganden som man inte alltid \u00e4r \u00f6verens om.<\/p>\n<p>Om man tittar p\u00e5 antalet arter p\u00e5 olika niv\u00e5er i den vetenskapliga klassificeringshierarkin kan man se att de f\u00f6ljer ett visst f\u00f6ruts\u00e4gbart m\u00f6nster. Eftersom siffrorna p\u00e5 de h\u00f6gre niv\u00e5erna redan \u00e4r ganska v\u00e4lk\u00e4nda \u00e4r det m\u00f6jligt att ber\u00e4kna ganska tillf\u00f6rlitliga uppskattningar av deras faktiska antal. N\u00e4r uppskattningarna av dessa \u00f6vre niv\u00e5er sedan ritas in p\u00e5 en linje fr\u00e5n phylum till sl\u00e4kte pekar linjen mot antalet arter (se figur 1G i artikeln). I den h\u00e4r artikeln kopplade experter p\u00e5 olika leddjursgrupper ihop sig med experter p\u00e5 provtagningstekniker f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka r\u00e4kna ihop alla leddjursarter i ett visst regnskogsomr\u00e5de.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6rs\u00f6ksomr\u00e5det var en yta p\u00e5 0,48 ha i en regnskog i Panama. H\u00e4r hittades 6144 arter leddjur. Genom att utnyttja modeller som beaktar b\u00e5de provtagningsteknikerna och leddjursgrupperna uppskattade man att i hela den h\u00e4r 6000 hektar stora regnskogen lever ca 25 000 arter leddjur. M\u00e4tenheten f\u00f6r de h\u00e4r uppskattningarna \u00e4r gigaton kol (Gt C).
